What is SideoutHQ?
SideoutHQ is an all-in-one platform for managing recreational volleyball leagues and tournaments. It handles scheduling, team rosters, player stats, standings, playoffs, and more — so organizers can focus on running great leagues.
Is SideoutHQ free?
Yes! SideoutHQ is free to get started. You can create leagues, manage teams, and generate schedules at no cost.
How do I create an account?
If you're a league organizer, head to the Get Started page to set up your organization. If you're a player, you'll typically receive an invite link or team join code from your league organizer.
Do I need to download an app?
Not yet! SideoutHQ works in any modern web browser on desktop or mobile. A dedicated mobile app is in development.
For Players
How do I join a league?
Your league organizer will share an invite link or team join code with you. Click the link or enter the code to join. You can also browse public leagues on the Discover page and request to join.
How do I RSVP for a game?
Once you're on a team, navigate to your upcoming games on the dashboard. Each game has RSVP options (In, Out, Maybe) so your captain and organizer know who's showing up.
How do I view my stats?
Your personal stats are available on your player dashboard. Stats include kills, assists, aces, digs, blocks, and more — depending on what your league tracks.
What is a waiver?
Some leagues require players to sign a waiver before participating. You'll be prompted to review and sign it electronically when joining a league that requires one.
Can I be on multiple teams?
Yes! You can be on different teams in different leagues or seasons. Your dashboard shows games and teams across all your organizations.
For Organizers
How do I create a league?
After setting up your organization, go to the management dashboard and create a new league. You'll set the name, format, surface type, skill level, and other details. Then create seasons within that league.
How does schedule generation work?
SideoutHQ can auto-generate game schedules based on your season dates, available courts, time slots, and blackout dates. You can also manually create and adjust games as needed.
How do divisions work?
Divisions let you split a season into skill-based or regional groups. Teams are assigned to divisions, and standings are tracked per-division. Playoffs can also be division-aware.
What playoff formats are supported?
SideoutHQ supports single elimination, double elimination, and round-robin tournament formats. You can seed teams manually or based on standings.
How do I invite players and manage rosters?
You can generate invite links for your organization or create team-specific join codes. Players sign up through these links and get added to the appropriate team. Roster management includes setting captains, moving players between teams, and handling join requests.
Account & Privacy
How do I reset my password?
Click "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page. You'll receive an email with a link to reset your password. The link expires after a short time for security.
What data does SideoutHQ collect?
We collect only what's needed to run the platform — your name, email, and league activity. We don't sell your data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Contact support and we'll process your account deletion. Any personal data will be removed in accordance with our privacy policy.
